From Monday 5th March, supermarket Morrisons will bring back last year’s record breaking promotion, in partnership with Disney UK & Ireland to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Disneyland Paris, Customers will have the chance to win VIP family holidays to the resort, 250,000 Disney soft toys as well as collecting an exclusive new family of 99 collector cards of Disney’s most memorable characters.
Morrisons shoppers will win the VIP holiday to the 20th Anniversary celebrations where they can experience this once in a lifetime event, if they find one of 20 golden cards seeded into millions of packs of exclusive Disney character trading cards given out in stores. Between 5th March and 29th April, shoppers at Morrisons will receive a packet of cards for every product they buy from one of 150 big brands in store, including Nescafé, Ribena and Kellogg’s. The promotion also includes a number of Morrisons own brand lines from fresh produce and grocery.
Richard Lancaster, Corporate Marketing and Operations Director, Morrisons said: “Our last Golden Ticket promotion was incredibly popular and we were keen to partner again with Disney, the world’s biggest family entertainment brand to create another a sector-beating Easter campaign.”
The 99 collector cards celebrate 11 different Disney eras, from the original Mickey Mouse of the 1920s through to recent Disney/Pixar favourites such as Toy Story and Monsters Inc. Each pack contains seven cards in all – six ‘standard’ and one ‘shiny’. Collectors can store their cards in a specially-designed Disneyland Paris 20th Anniversary collector binder which will retail in Morrisons stores for £2.99.
It will be officially launched on 4th March in the Sunday Mirror with free packs of cards with every copy, and will then be promoted with TV and newspapers as well as across Disney-owned media platforms.
