Morrisons today announces the launch of its third convenience store in Manchester which aims to provide more fresh food at better value than other convenience stores. M-Local opens on Grafton Street, Manchester at 09.00am on Monday 16th January.
The range has been tailored to better serve the large number of students living in the area. The store has an extensive ‘food-to-go’ offer where customers can pick up freshly made porridge, orange juice, soups, jacket potatoes, sausage rolls, cakes and pastries. Additional stationery and household items have also been added.
The store will stock over 100 lines of fresh fruit and vegetables, as well as over 100 items from Morrisons’ new M Savers range. Customers can purchase freshly baked bread, meat, fish, pizza, sandwiches and salads prepared in the nearby Cheadle Heath store and delivered daily to the store.
The store will open 6am-11pm Monday – Saturday and from 12noon to 6pm on Sunday. Like M-Local in Ilkley and Wilmslow, all fresh meat, fish, fruit and vegetables will cost the same as in Morrisons’ larger stores.
Store General Manager Chris Hughes said: “We set ourselves the challenge of creating a convenience store that has a fantastic fresh food offer, whilst still delivering great value to our customers. This store will be ideal for students, looking to stock up on essential items and pick up food on the go, and we look forward to welcoming them through our doors!”
